The Barns at Edgemont Inn is an exquisite hillside estate in the Champlain Valley, a 20+ acre former horse farm above Lake Champlain. The Event Barn runs 4,400 square feet with radiant floor heat, so the calendar runs all year, and three houses and an apartment sleep up to twenty- five of your guests.
A Little About Us
The Barns at Edgemont Inn is a private estate in the Champlain Valley, twenty-plus acres of a former horse farm on a hillside above Lake Champlain, with two barns, a ceremony lawn and four buildings of lodging.
The whole property books as one, Friday through Sunday. Staff set the barn, run the bar on the venue’s own license and clean up after the party. The heated barn keeps the calendar open all year.
WHAT SETS US APART
The Weekend Wedding Experience
Most venues sell a Saturday. Edgemont is booked Friday to Sunday, so setup is not a race, the ceremony is not the only time everyone is together, and Sunday morning is part of what you paid for rather than a checkout time.
Twenty-seven beds across four buildings mean the people closest to you are on the property rather than at a motel twenty minutes down the road. Nobody drives home in the dark, and breakfast happens.

The Main House sleeps twelve, the Horse Cabin seven, the Cottage four and the Apartment four.
THE EVENT BARN
Dinner and Dancing in Separate Rooms.
Pine overhead and doors onto the field. The dance barn holds the bar and the floor, so nothing is reset mid-reception.
THE CEREMONY LAWN
A Lawn for Ceremonies, and a Barn If It Rains.
If it turns half an hour before, everyone moves inside to the barn. No rain-plan deposit and no decision at dawn.

Do we get the property for the whole weekend?
On the full-weekend package, yes. The event space is yours from Friday afternoon to set up, Saturday for the wedding, and Sunday to take down, so nothing is rushed off the property on the night.
What happens if it rains?
Benches come out on the lawn for up to a hundred and sixty. If the weather turns half an hour before, everyone moves inside to the barn. There is no tent to rent and no decision to make at dawn.
Where do our guests sleep?
Three houses and an apartment, sleeping up to twenty-five. Lodging is booked alongside your weekend rather than inside it.
How does the bar work?
The venue holds its own liquor license and runs the bar itself, either as a cash bar where guests buy their own drinks and you cover the bartender, or as an open bar priced by headcount. Because the license is the venue’s, a third-party vendor cannot sell alcohol on the property.
Can we choose our own vendors?
Yes. Outside vendors are welcome, and Edgemont keeps a curated list of “Local Vendors” if you would rather start from one. Alcohol is the one exception, served on the venue’s own license.
Can we book a winter date?
Yes. The barn has radiant floor heat, so the calendar runs all year. The property is buried in snow about three months of it and the owner plows it open.
